definitely coming here again
Spacious double room with hardwood floors and balcony. Amenities included tv, free toiletries, hairdryer, and a huge private bathroom with shower. Cozy seating area. Great heating and hypoallergenic options. Breakfast had so many choices. Loved the free parking and the warm welcome from the staff. Spa facilities looked like a treat too!

Fine balcony views of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, free parking space , gorgeous grounds with leisure areas for children
It would also be nice to have a more varied dinner menu and better water pressure in the shower!!!

I rented a triple and it was nicely laid out with the third bed almost in a separate room. The decor was simple but tasteful and the room was impeccably clean. My triple boasted a balcony which at night gave a view of the lighted castles. However, my sister-in-law, whom I was traveling with, did not get a balcony and paid the same price for a triple. The hotel staff was very friendly. The owner's son even drove us to the nearby Luge.
The hotel sits next to a busy road so there was a lot of noise. This might not be an issue if the windows are closed but it was warm and we had to have them open at night. Also, there was no public transportation available near the hotel. We had to take cabs to the castles and nearby Fussen. Be aware that the cab drivers charge twice as much if you cannot speak fluent German. I would not have known but my sister-in-law, who is fluent, only paid half of what I did.

Amazing experience there. Well-appointed accommodation with beautiful setting close to the Castle Neuschwanstein, nearby lake and two Castle's and mountain around. Good service, delicious and gorgeous breakfast.

We had a quadruple room and it was spacious, immaculate, and super cozy! The beds were comfortable, and the view of the two castles was fine. Plus, the room had a small fridge which was great. The balcony was perfect for enjoying the scenery. It was warm inside even when it was chilly outside.

We had a great time staying here. All of the staff were excellent, very helpful, and polite. We had dinner several evenings and the menu ranged from 'basic' to gourmet with a good selection of local food. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious and we could see both the castles from our balcony. At night we heard nothing - total silence - great. The location is very good to visit the local places and the road network to go further afield is very convenient too. We thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Very friendly staff, extremely helpful. Hotel was very comfortable and clean and only a short walk from Castles Neuschwanstein & Hohenschwangau. Would highly recommend the hotel and would return there if I am again in the area.

Clean, Quiet, Close to Fussen and the Castle. Very kid friendly - had a separate room for two kids and trampoline, swings, etc outside. Easy access with/for car.

The hotel was quaint and clean and the staff were very welcoming and well organised. The restaurant was nice with a good breakfast and a wide range of meals on their dinner menu. The kids enjoyed the trampoline and some play equipment in the garden. The family room was quite spacious.
This hotel is a long walk from the castles and from Fussen. It is a better choice for guests with a car. There is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up at least one flight of stairs. we found that the pillows were not very comfortable.

Hotel Waldmann is perfectly situated near Fussen and the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle. The room wasvery comfy and tidy, with a lovely balcony with a fine view. Breakfast was fantastic, with foods including fresh fruits and made-to-order eggs, all served in a sunny and inviting dining area. Plus, the free parking was a significant bonus for us.
Some rooms may lack certain amenities.
